Russell Brand must be a proud, proud man, as his stunner of a wife, international pop star Katy Perry, has been anointed the Sexiest Woman of 2011 by Australia's FHM, a popular men's magazine.

The magazine pointed to the fact that Perry is "black and blue" – glossy mane of raven hair, eyes bluer than the Pacific Ocean that hugs her home state of California -- rather than blond and archetypal as the reason she is their head turner of 2011.

But it's not just Perry's exotic looks and rock hard body, which she is prone to cloaking in spandex, rubber and other clings-to-her-curves fabrics, that earned her this dude-driven accolade. It's her sexy, fun and winning charm, which no doubt helped her land the former party animal comedian Brand, ring and all.

Despite her evangelical Christian upbringing where using the words "deviled eggs" or "Dirt Devil" was forbidden, which she talks about in detail in the June issue of Vanity Fair, Katy Perry is still the sassy gal that you could bring home to meet mom and who seems like she would engage in a round of poker, cigars and beers with the boys, while the football game is blaring in the background. She pulls off what feels impossible: She's both a girl's girl and a guy's girl, at once.

FHM said it best when they proclaimed, "In an age when scrawny tweenie boppers dominate the music world, the voluptuous Perry teaches the kids that a real woman packs curves." Amen to that. Real woman wear curves and Perry wears hers well.
