Need proof the power of positive thinking works? Look no further than Kelly Clarkson, who's already having the best week after...maybe thanks to a fortuitous video diary.

SATURDAY (January 6):

Clarkson, who was announced as an official Golden Globes presenter in December, spent the night before the show — and the duration of the first episode of her new "Minute + a Glass of Wine" web series — gushing over Meryl Streep. Clarkson said she'd been a fan since she was eight-years-old, and while fangirling is not typically part of her nature (she's sung for Mariah Carey, President Barack Obama and The Pope without breaking a sweat), she said she'd die if she had the chance to meet her idol.

"I don't know if it's gonna happen...[but] I'll at least get to see her from stage," Clarkson said.

SUNDAY:

Sporting her custom Christian Siriano dress, Kelly predictably made hilarious waves on the Golden Globes' red carpet, charming reporters far and wide.

But the pre-show took a very chance turn while Kelly was wrapping up her interview with old pal Ryan Seacrest, and suddenly spotted Streep out of the corner of her eye. She nearly tripped as stopped cold in her tracks. "That's Meryl!" she whispered. "That's Meryl Streep."

"Oh, my God, can I meet you?" she called out as Streep gently caressed her face.

In the process — though it was nothing new — Kelly garnered a slew of adoring tweets, many which suddenly pointed to her as preferred fictional drinking partner.

Kelly also met Catherine Zeta-Jones before heading inside the show, observing

"I'm a huge fan," Zeta-Jones gushed.

"Are you serious?! You know me?!" Kelly responded incredulously. "Oh, God!"

Finally, Kelly entered the show, and when the time came to present the award for Best Original Song alongside Keith Urban — whom she'd already made cry on national television — she turned on the charm once more. The two harmonized as they gave the award to Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

Still, the night was far from over, and before leaving the ceremony, Clarkson finally met Steve Carrell, who very famously screamed her name during a 40-Year-Old Virgin scene in 2005.  "I have yet to meet Steve Carell and I want to be like, 'So, was it a compliment?' Like, I dunno, like, you're in pain and you think of Kelly Clarkson," Kelly had previously joked to Today.

MONDAY:

Naturally, Monday was reserved for basking in the glow of meeting Streep. Considering Kelly's recounting on the second "Minute + a Glass of Wine" — which she actually recorded the previous night — it seemed she was unlikely to ever wash her cheek again.

"This cheek has been caressed by Meryl Streep," Kelly said. "I'm not even sure if she knew who I was, but she was really nice regardless, which makes her, like, an even more amazing person."

Kelly also gushed about finally meeting Carell.

There was little rest for the Meaning of Life singer, who stole off to the Television Critics Association for a panel discussion on The Voice, which will return on February 26. She and Season 13 winner Chris Blue kept onlookers and journalists chuckling, at one point observing “We happen to be sexy as hell but that’s just our cross to bear."

And finally, Kelly wrapped up Tuesday night by basking in the glow of a rave review from Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo, who tweeted "Deep diving into Kelly Clarkson new album. The vocals my god."

Ever gracious, Kelly replied "Um..... I might be tearing up. Seriously, I can’t believe you’re listening to my record and this has made my 2018. Thank you so much! #HoldMeIsStillMyJam #ILoveYourMusic."
