Kelly Clarkson Performs a Medley of Her Biggest Hits at the 2012 American Music Awards

Randy Jackson took the stage to announce the 2012 American Music Awards' next performer, and it was wildly appropriate.

The 'American Idol' judge praised Kelly Clarkson, saying how he couldn't believe it's been 10 years since she won the show, and that she was putting out a Greatest Hits album. Yeah, that officially makes us feel really old.

In a medley of her hits, Clarkson opened her set with 'Miss Independent,' wearing an audition number and performing in front of three people sitting in front of her, reminiscent of her time auditioning for 'American Idol.' Oh you clever little girl, you!

She then transitioned into her mega hit 'Since U Been Gone,' where feathers from a pillow fight were being thrown behind her as she sang into her blinged-out microphone. All too quickly, though, that clip ended and a new one began.

'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' was the third song the 'Idol' winner sang, and her set was generally simple. She performed in front of background dancers who acted out the song, but before we could get into that track, she began singing her latest single, 'Catch My Breath.' Even simpler than before, Clarkson, whose vocals were superior and on-point, stood alone on the stage rocking the heck out of her black dress and blonde half-up, half-down faux hawk.

But then... it ended! As quickly as it began, it ended just as fast. Technically yes, it was a medley of her hits, but we wish they would've given her more time to showcase her god given abilities.
