Kelly Clarkson has had a soft spot for country for a while -- she's from Texas, after all! And now she's embracing those roots once more on a duet with country king Vince Gill, an easy, breezy, midtempo tune called 'Don't Rush.' We think pop fans will love it as much as country listeners will!

Clarkson's vocals are usually used to belt, but here she softly serenades, and she sounds just as good. The song is an ode to lazy afternoons with the one you love. Clarkson croons, "Stopping every minute / Just because you're in it / Wishing every day was Sunday / You're right next to me, that's how it's supposed to be / Hanging on every touch / Baby, don't rush."

The duet isn't quite as powerful as her collaboration with fellow country singer Jason Aldean, 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' but it's a really summery, fun listen and a great reminder that Clarkson is capable of much more than breakup anthems. Sounds like we can thank her boyfriend Brandon Blackstock for that!

The track will appear on Clarkson's upcoming 'Greatest Hits -- Chapter One,' due Nov. 19. Do you dig Kelly's cool country sound or do you prefer her powerhouse pop songs better? Sound off in the comments!
