Kesha’s the Latest Pop Star to Join ‘Jane the Virgin’

Once a humble dramedy that chronicled a young woman's search for true love in Miami, Jane the Virgin sounds like it's really going Hollywood for Season 2.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Kesha will appear on the massively popular CW show as Annabelle, "a colorful musician who becomes Jane’s new neighbor." The shifting hues of Kesha's hair considered, we say the role may just be tailor-made for the "Die Young" singer.

"Stoked!!!!! I’ll be making a guest starring appearance on @CWJanetheVirgin," Kesha tweeted as news of her latest role began to circulate, and show star Gina Rodriguez echoed the excitement. "Oh no big deal just the baller and beautiful @KeshaRose guesting on Jane. Im not freaking out...nope not at all," she posted.

EW also notes that Annabelle will not be a "baby person," so let's hope the set's cleared of bibs, bassinets and the like.

One person who is definitely a baby person—mom of two Britney Spears—will also appear on Jane's upcoming second season. She'll play the nemesis of Rogelio, a narcissistic telenovela star who also happens to be Jane's father, according to PEOPLE. 

"We're really excited," Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman told the site, and said she offered Britney a part as soon as she got word that the pop star was a big fan.
