Kim Kardashian Defends Homophobic Jabs at Tyson Beckford: ‘All My Best Friends Are Gay’
Does anyone have a spare shovel? Kim Kardashian could use the help continuing to dig her own grave.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star came under fire earlier this week when Tyson Beckford lashed out at her via social media, and mocked the shape of her body. Kardashian, who of course had every right to defend herself, instead insinuated that Beckford didn't like her shape because he was gay (“Sis we all know why you don’t care for it,” she replied on Instagram), angering her followers, who said her resorting to homophobic micro-aggressions was lazy and offensive.
Kardashian, though, isn't so concerned with the criticism, and told Big Boy on Real 92.3 that she doesn't see any issue with what she said.
“Really, dude? Like, you’re going to body-shame me? Like, okay. Okay. Okay, sis. You’re going to body-shame me?” she told Big Boy. “People were sending me stuff on his page, he keeps on going and going and going, and I’m just like, dude, that’s so female lame to me. That’s just lame to me."
“And for anyone to say that I am homophobic with the comment of saying sis? All my best friends are gay, I support the community, I love the community, they love me, that has nothing to do with this,” she said, invoking perhaps the most tired defense of all time.
And followers were happy to say as much.
