Kim Kardashian is reportedly suffering from traumatic flashbacks to the night she was tied up and robbed at gunpoint while staying at her Paris residence last week (October 3).

"Kim is doing better but she still has a long way to recover from the robbery," a source reportedly told E! News. "She has been receiving some professional counseling. Her friends and family have been really supportive. Her sisters and mom have been checking on her every day."

Husband Kanye West -- who abruptly cut his set short and raced offstage during a New York concert as soon as he heard the news of Kim's robbery -- has also proven to be a major source of support for the media mogul, despite resuming his Saint Pablo World Tour: "Kanye has been by her side when he isn't working and calling her nonstop to check in on her."

While Kim has surrounded herself with friends and family since the robbery, she "is very paranoid still when she is alone. She has been having flashbacks and hasn't been sleeping well," the source adds. "Her security is always around her now."

Kim's daughter North has reportedly noticed a shift in her mother's demeanor, too.

"Being around her children is the biggest distraction for her mind," the source told E! "North West is aware her mom is sad and not herself, but Kanye and Kim are trying not to talk about it around her."

Sister Khloe confirmed as much during a recent stop on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she spoke about how Kim’s been affected by the terrifying ordeal.

“She’s not doing that well. I mean, it’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her,” Khloe said. “But our family is super close and great and we’ll get through it together, and we do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support and it will take time. You know, it was horrible what happened to her.”
