She's already arrived at the Grammys inside of an egg, dressed in drag for the entire 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, and become one of the fastest rising pop stars of all time. Well, Lady Gaga is making history again, this time in the form of a magazine cover model.

The 'You and I' singer is the first artist to appear on a black and white cover of Harper's BAZAAR in the last 20 years. For the October issue of the magazine, instead of dressing up in her best Halloween look, Gaga is stripping down to the bare essentials. The singer is donning a straight, simple hairdo, minimal makeup, and appears to be nude from the looks of the photo.

This will mark Gaga's second cover of Harper's BAZAAR, with her first cover issue hitting shelves back in April 2011. Although we give her props for her cross-dressing experiment as the foul-mouthed, eccentric Jo Calderone, it is nice to see Gaga back in her delicate, female form.

Lady Gaga tweeted the picture of the October Harper's BAZAAR cover with the message: "PHOTOGRAPHY: INEZ + VINOODH MAKEUP: VALIUM GARLAND HAIR: FREDERIC ASPIRAS FASHION: HUSSEIN CHALAYAN."

She teased fans earlier, tweeting, "In 1 hour I will reveal my new cover on the september issue of BAZAAR. Its the first Black and White Cover printed in 20 YEARS!"
