As we inch towards the giving season known as Christmas, our favorite pop stars are opening their hearts, wallets, Twitter feeds and fanbases to charity (Hello Biebs!). We all know Lady Gaga is kindhearted and that she loves her little monsters -- that's why she has launched the Born This Way Foundation, an organization whose goal is to further inspire young people and to promote self-esteem among the youth of today.

If there is one thing the Mother Monster has cornered the market on, it's inspiring people! Now, can you guess who Gaga's partner in the BTW foundation? Her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, the original Mother Monster!

In a statement (via MTV), Gaga said, "My mother and I have initiated a passion project. We call it the Born This Way Foundation. Together we hope to establish a standard of bravery and kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment."

Bullying is something that Gaga won't stand for, and she even dedicated her iHeartRadio Festival set to Jamey Rodemeyer, a bullied teen who committed suicide. The victim was a little monster, who even recorded videos about how Gaga inspired him and helped him survive his struggles for a time, so this cause is close to her heart.

The foundation will work with the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the California Endowment and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. Overall, the BTW Foundation will laser focus its efforts on helping boost the self esteem of kids today. The statement also declared that the organization would be dedicated to "youth empowerment and equality by addressing issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development and will utilize digital mobilization as one of the means to create positive change."

As we said before, if anyone can pull this off, Lady Gaga can. There is hope.
