Lady Gaga and ex-fiancé Christian Carino are talking again, according to Us Weekly.

On Tuesday (December 10), the news outlet reported the former couple, who called off their engagement in February 2019 after two years together, is on speaking terms again. But, before fans get excited about a potential reconciliation, sources confirm they're not getting back together and are simply just friends.

"Lady Gaga is talking to Christian again, but as friends,” an insider said. “There is nothing going on there.”

"She is not seriously dating anyone right now," the source added.

It's unclear what this all means for Gaga and Carino, but the news follows the "Shallow" hitmaker's short-lived summer fling with audio engineer Dan Horton. The pair were spotted sharing a kiss in Studio City, California, however, Gaga later hinted at a split after she revealed she was "a single lady" via Instagram in October.

Since then, the pop star has not been romantically linked to anyone and it's most likely because she's been busy working on her forthcoming album and new makeup line, Haus Labs.

Besides, as previously reported, Gaga was the one to end things with Carino and it reportedly had to do with his jealousy. “Chris didn’t treat Gaga very well toward the end of their [two-year] relationship," sources said. "He was jealous. He was trying to find her all the time and texted her a lot. Her friends didn’t like him either."
