Even Lady Gaga needs to remind herself to rejoice and love herself today -- to borrow a phrase from the lyrics of her mammoth hit 'Born This Way.' In a teaser clip released from her upcoming HBO special, 'Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden,' Gaga displays a not-often-seen vulnerability. While she is certainly the Mother Monster and ruler of the pop kingdom, Gaga is also very human and is still Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta underneath it all!

During this revealing black and white clip, Gaga, with a bun atop her head, is taking off (or touching up) her makeup with a removal wipe while backstage at MSG in her hometown of NYC. She is talking about how playing a benchmark show like this one reminds of her of the days when people would try and stop her, well before she was a household name.

"I just sometimes feel like a loser still, you know? It's crazy cause we're at the Garden but I still sometimes feel like a loser kid in high school," she says amidst tears. "I just gotta pick my shit up, gotta pick myself up, and I have to tell myself I'm a superstar every morning so that I can get through this day and be for my fans what they need for me to be. I cannot be destroyed and I will not be destroyed. You will never destroy the kingdom that is my fans. I'm fighting for every kid that felt like I felt and feels like I still feel."

The poignant and powerful clip, which should further deepen the bond between Gaga and her monsters, ends with the Catholic school-reared diva praying, with her hands clasped. She asks God for courage and for the strength to not give in to her own insecurities and to walk in his light, as well as to be able to sing and dance. She blesses herself with the sign of the cross says, "Now I got some s--- to do."

Oh Gaga, you've won our hearts again!

'Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden' airs May 7 at 9PM ET.
