Lady Gaga’s Manicurist Says: ‘Making Nails for Her Is Truly a Piece of Art’

There are few jobs out there that are as fun and as creative as being Lady Gaga's manicurist! Lately, the fashion-forward pop diva has been rocking dagger-like, pointy nails that look more like weapons than fingernails, thanks to her manicurist, Aya Fukuda.
Fukuda talks to Bella Sugar about working so closely with the diva -- calling her recent salon style the "sexy Gaga shape" and adding that the pop star constantly inspires her.

"Lady Gaga gives me so much inspiration. When designing her nails, I always keep in mind her eccentric yet glamorous style." she adds, "When I come up with designs I feel represent her, I'll show Gaga and we go with them if she approves. Making nails for her is so much fun and truly a piece of art."

Fukuda also opens up about Gaga's high-fashion and unique nails in the 'Born This Way' video -- revealing the colors and concept she utilized to create the original style. “I used a vibrant red and black polish from Priti NYC and finished it off with Swarovski crystals in jet color and silver metal," Fukuda reveals.

Naturally, Fukuda was tight-lipped about her next collaboration with the unpredictable Gaga, but she is constantly thinking about what to do next! She says, "My next big project is something I can't talk about just yet ... The inspiration and ideas I come up with for Lady Gaga are endless. I already have so many new and fresh ideas which I have plans to use very soon."

We can't wait to see the beautiful, artistic claws Fukuda designs for Gaga next. These two sound like nail art soulmates!
