Lady Gaga wants to stand on her own two feet -- wearing a pair of thigh-high, eight-inch, ankle-snapper platform heels, no doubt -- when it comes to 'Born This Way.' Oh No They Didn't! reports that the pop star will have no high-profile collaborations on the anticipated album, which is due to drop on May 23.

Apparently she wants to do her own thing, and besides, she already worked with the best in the business when she paired up with Beyonce on last year's hit 'Telephone.'

"I want to stand on my own two feet. I've already collaborated with my favorite female in the business," Gaga tells KISS FM in a radio interview. She did tack on a verbal disclaimer to the end of her statement saying, "We'll see how I'm feeling when I'm wrapping up the album."

Gaga is avoiding the bandwagon (that holds so many of her pop music peers) by steering clear of a big-name partnership. All eyes and ears will be on Gaga once May 23 finally arrives.
