Lady Gaga's little sister Natali Germanotta recently chatted with Teen Vogue (since she's only 19) about working on forging her path in the fashion world. While there is a natural curiosity about the girl who has been dubbed "Baby Gaga" in the press, Germanotta isn't riding her sister's leather-studded, jewel-encrusted coattails. She is building her reputation in the fashion world based on her own merits.

Natali, who calls Gaga "Stefi," since the 'Born This Way' diva's real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Gemanotta, says they talk often, except "when she's in Japan and doesn't have service."

Of course, Natali dished about her sister's outrageous sense of style, saying, "Some of the stuff she wears I’d be like, 'No, never.'" Nat, who owns a pet lizard, which you can see her planting a smooch on in the photo below, talked about how Gaga turned up in an out-there ensemble at her graduation ceremony last year, which caused the singer to be criticized for upstaging her lil sis on her big day. However, it was Natali who encouraged her sister to be herself.

"She asked me, 'Should I dress really conservative and look not like myself, or should I do it over-the-top and freak everybody out?,' And I was like, 'The latter, definitely the latter,'" Natali said of her sister's outfit choice. Natali designed her own graduation gown, and that's how she was able to do her own thing on her big day.

Being Lady Gaga's sister has plenty of obvious and unspoken benefits, but the best ones fall within the Germanotta household. It helps Natali get away with wearing provocative or weird clothing. She admitted,"Whenever I wear something crazy and my dad gives me a hard time, I say, 'Well, at least I'm not walking out on the street with red pasties,' and he'll be like, 'Good point.'"
