Lady Gaga + Starbucks Designed a Line of Candy-Colored Drinks for Charity
Taste the rainbow is about to get a whole new meaning thanks to Lady Gaga and Starbucks — take a seat, Skittles.
From today (June 13) until June 19, the coffee giant will offer four new colorful drinks it designed with Lady Gaga as part of the Cups for Kindness initiative. Proceeds will go on to support Gaga's Born This Way Foundation, which aims to empower youth by advocating for kindness, pushing for mental health initiatives and nailing down more positive environments both on the web and in real life.
“We’re healthier and happier when we live our lives with compassion and our communities are stronger when we treat one another with generosity and respect. Born This Way Foundation and I are so excited to partner with Starbucks to help inspire positivity and love through the Cups of Kindness collection,” Gaga said, according to a statement.
The Pink Drink, Ombré Pink Drink, Matcha Lemonade and Violet Drink — which is a combination of Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher and coconut milk — will all now be on the menu for the next week. A quarter from the purchase of each will go to support BTW. Starbucks has also committed to an additional $250,000 donation.
And the world's most caffeinated Little Monsters are already guzzling down the concoctions to great satisfaction:
