Lady Gaga was the guest judge on last night's episode of 'So You Think You Can Dance' but on tonight's elimination ep, the superstar returned to her rightful place and that was on the 'SYTYCD' stage, singing and dancing her ass off. Gaga performed a medley that was comprised of 'The Edge of Glory' and 'You & I.' She was surrounded by huge iron towers, with a crew of dancers behind her, which makes sense given the nature of the show.

With her headset mic, knee high boots, warriors princess costume and turquoise hair in a side ponytail, Gaga grooved. It's the first time we've seen her perform 'You & I' while dancing; usually, she's seated at her piano, smashing away at the keys and gyrating on the piano bench. Since 'You & I' isn't really a dance song like, say, 'Born This Way,' Gaga had to present the song in an entirely new manner by dancing to it and it worked like a charm.

'You & I' is also the song that best showcases her powerful voice. While many pop stars are average singers at best, Gaga's strongest suit is her vocals, so we were left wondering if the fact that she had to exert energy dancing and using many parts of her body while belting out those big, bold notes would impair or hamper her ability to sound as good as she always does. But the Mother Monster was the consummate multi-tasker and she never sounded out of breath.

It was another incredible Gaga performance in the books.
