Step over, Oprah -- it's time for Gaga to take the throne! Lady Gaga tops Forbes Magazine's 2011 Celebrity 100 List, pushing washed up Winfrey (we kid!) out of No. 1.

Like good little music icons, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift follow suit -- behind Oprah, of course -- and also make the list among legendary musical acts like U2, Bon Jovi and Elton John.

As for Gaga, she earned roughly $90 million over the last 12 months, and influenced just as many people around the world. Thanks to social media, the 'young' generation of celebrities have a chance at those Top 5 spots because they've mastered how to tweet to keep their (countless) fans in tune.

Lady Gaga has 32 million Facebook fans and 9.5 million Twitter followers -- leaving Oprah in the dust with just under 6 million tweeting viewers.

The Forbes Celebrity 100 List has become a who's who in entertainment since it first started making its annual rounds back in 1999, and now that times are a'changin, the requirements for making the cut are, too. All walks of entertainment life are welcome, including film and television actors, TV personalities, models, athletes, authors, musicians and comedians, but now that social media status comes into play (in addition to a celeb's earnings), folks like Gaga and the Biebs have a fighting chance.

Congrats to Lady Gaga on being the No. 1 Monster on the Forbes Magazine Celebrity 100 List! It is an honor well deserved.
