The final four has been downsized to a final three on 'X Factor,' as Marcus Canty was eliminated on tonight's results episode (Dec. 15.)

Canty was gracious in his defeat, telling host Steve Jones, "Why you looking sad, Steve? It's all good. You gonna see me later. This is not the last time you will see Marcus Canty. God blessed me so much being here. I gave it my all. That's all you can do. I love America, man. Thanks to all my supporters and my family. Don't cry. I know y'all crying. Relax!"

His  mentor L.A. Reid said, "I am connected to Marcus. I am not happy to see you go. You are a major star. You have my support." That's a good spot to be in for Canty, since Reid is tight with the likes of Kanye West and Jay-Z.

We'll miss Marcus and his grooves, since he was a total entertainer, but like he said himself, this is not the end of the road for Marcus Canty. "It's not over yet," he said, as the credits rolled.

See ya soon, Marcus.

And we'll see Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene next week on the finals. Who do you think will take the crown and the $5 million recording contract?
