Mariah Carey on Who Is Worthy of Performing at Her Wedding: ‘F–king Nobody’
She. She is Mariah Carey...the Elusive Chanteuse, and she's having lots of moments as of late: an upcoming Mariah's World reality show moment, a festive GLAAD Media Awards LGBTQ glitter butterfly moment and, most recently, a retro moment of wedding singer whatever.
While out on the street in New York City on Sunday night (May 15) ahead of yesterday's NBC Universal Upfronts, the Emotions icon and singer of multiple number ones — which is difficult to get, not everybody has that — was being hounded by the paparazzi regarding her upcoming nuptials to elusive billionareuse James Packer when she was asked one incredibly bold question: Who is worthy enough to sing at Mariah Carey's wedding?
Her answer? "F--king nobody. Bye."
No further comment needed, although she did elaborate on the NBC Universal Upfronts red carpet.
"It's going to be a small thing, we already did the thing with the ring...it's over the top already! It's over the top enough," she said, blatantly lying to the interviewer's face.
Mariah also briefly emancipated herself from her Louboutins — but have no fear, dahhhling. She and that shoe belonged together.
"That was a classic. There's moments," she explained.
Is it too early to nominate Mimi for sainthood?
