Adam Levine of Maroon 5, who popped off last year about disliking music celebratory ceremonies, was actually present at the 2012 People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles tonight and picked up the award for Favorite Band. Maroon 5 beat out rock bands like the Foo Fighters and Linkin Park to take home the statuette.

"This is incredible," Levine, who is preparing for a second season as a coach on the blockbuster, runaway reality show hit of 2011, 'The Voice,' said at the podium when giving his speech. He gave props to the peeps, saying, "Thanks to our fans, the greatest fans on earth." He closed out his quick "thank you" monologue by shouting out to the 'rents. He said, "Thanks to mom and dad for making me, that was cool."

We're sure Ma and Pa Levine were touched at the sentiment that their son offered on national TV.

PopCrush was definitely impressed at how debonair the usually edgy and rock 'n' roll Levine looked. He cleaned up nicely in an ash-colored silk blazer that covered up his tats, alongside a clean-shaven look.
