R&B songwriter Miguel takes a stab at Britney Spears' smash hit 'Hold It Against Me' for Billboard's Mashup Mondays, infusing the dance anthem with sultry, R&B flavor. Miguel slows the song down and effortlessly transforms a dancefloor amped, club banger anthem into a bedroom serenade.

When Britney sings it, it's a breathy, sexy dance jam. When Miguel sings it, it's a sexy dance jam that invokes the emotion of longing for someone.

"I'm not sure what Britney's reaction is going to be, but I hope she digs it," Miguel says. He also adds that his version is "unique to my style and who I am, so I'm glad we got to cover it." Miguel definitely makes the song his own -- with his warm vocals and "dub step portion" at the end of the song which he says is "kinda fly." We think Britney herself would offer two enthusiastic thumbs up if she heard Miguel's rendition.

Miguel, who has penned songs for Usher and Mary J. Blige during his career, released his debut, 'All I Want Is You,' in 2010.
