Rumors has it that Miley Cyrus has been spending a lot of time with her pal Patrick Schwarzenegger -- but are the two an item?

According to E! News, multiple sources have told the site that Cyrus and Schwarzenegger have been "casually dating," though another source refutes that, revealing that the pair are "good friends" and are not "officially together."

One thing's for sure: The two have definitely been spending some quality time together recently, celebrating Halloween together and partaking in various spooky festivities before the holiday, including a maze and a haunted hayride. Super cute!

Fans will remember Patrick Schwarzenegger as not only the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, but also as the guy that Taylor Swift was rumored to be dating in 2012 before it came out that she was actually dating his cousin, Conor Kennedy.

And while the jury is still out about the status of his relationship with Miley, we know that at one point, he was super interested in the 'Wrecking Ball' singer, telling Details magazine: "My eye … is set on Miley."
