Miley Cyrus Slams ‘Racist, Sexist, Hateful’ Trump in Interview
Miley Cyrus is not a fan of Donald Trump and doesn't care who knows it.
In a new cover story for Vanity Fair, the singer called the president a "completely racist, sexist, hateful a--hole" during her interview. While discussing her initial plans to leave the country if Trump was elected POTUS, Cyrus admitted she wasn't serious and only said she would move away because she never thought he'd beat Hillary Clinton.
“You know, I said I would move away if he became president. We all said a bunch of sh-t we didn’t mean," she explained. “Because we really thought: Maybe people will listen. Maybe people actually realize how detrimental this will be to our fucking country if this happens. Obviously, they didn’t," she explained.
"But for me to move away—what the f--k is that going to change?" Cyrus continued. "As someone who is so proud of being an activist, am I going to feel proud of myself just running away from, and leaving everyone else here to live under, a completely racist, sexist, hateful a--hole? You can’t leave everyone else to fend for themselves.”
Elsewhere in her interview, Cyrus also revealed that Trump actually called her up after her now-infamous 2013 MTV VMA performance with Robin Thicke. If you don't recall, she took the stage and twerked in front of everyone. Afterward, she stayed at Trump Tower in New York and was woken up to a phone call from Trump, who said he "loved" her performance. Keep in mind she was just 19 years old at the time...
“And now he’s our president,” Cyrus added with a sigh, according to the magazine.
