Niki Dawson Living Out ‘Teenage Dream’ on ‘The Voice’

Niki Dawson may not have the experience of a lot of the other contestants on 'The Voice,' but she proved that she can command the stage with her audition performance of Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream.'

The 19-year-old singer from Jacksonville, Fla., is studying music business at college. In addition to being an entertainer, Dawson wants to be a motivational speaker for teenagers.

Dawson has posted a handful of performances on YouTube, including covers of songs by Katy Perry, Paramore and Shontell. For her 'Voice' audition, she won over Cee Lo Green with her performance of 'Teenage Dream.'

"By the grace of the almighty heavens, Cee-Lo turned around!!!!! Ooohhh my gosh!!!" wrote Dawson on her post-show blog. "I felt like finally someone thinks I have what it takes in this business!"
