In a recent interview, Payne was asked what American stars he'd like to meet. His immediate response? "Miley Cyrus. She's hot!" Cute!

Don't get all worked up, though, Directioners. Payne's been dating a gorgeous dancer named Danielle Peazer for a while. Cyrus is just his celeb crush. We think he's got great taste! And for the record, one Disney-Directioner pairing we still want to see happen? Newly minted 'X Factor' judge Demi Lovato and her crush, 1D member and 'X Factor' alum Niall Horan!

Plus, Cyrus is dating a different Liam -- 'The Hunger Games' star Liam Hemsworth. The cute couple just adopted a new puppy named Mary Jane ... likely after something with which the clean cut and polished One Direction guys are best not being publicly associated.

Not like either one of them has time to play the field even if they wanted to. One Direction and Cyrus are both in the studio working on new records -- the U.K. heartthrobs are in Sweden while Ms. Miley is hard at work in Miami. If nothing else, though, we certainly think they'd make beautiful music together!
