Poo Bear Teases New Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez Music
Poo Bear's debut album will arrive with a double dose of star power.
The four-time Grammy winner (real name Jason Boyd) revealed during an interview with People that both Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez will be on the record, a bilingual project titled Poo Bear Presents Bearthday Music. It marks his first solo effort following decades penning hits for Sam Smith, Fifth Harmony, DJ Khaled, and others.
Boyd recently wrote Lopez’s EDM team-up with Skrillex, February's "Us," and shared that he and the "Ain't Your Mama" singer also made a collaboration for her next LP, but that she was so excited about it she wanted him to put it on his. "[That] was really cool and selfless of her," Boyd said. "It is such a blessing to have her be part of my album."
Boyd also teased a previously announced single with Bieber, who he's been working with for over seven years. He co-wrote the bulk of both 2013's Journals and 2016's Purpose, including hits like "Where Are Ü Now?" and "What Do You Mean?" as well as the chart-dominating remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito."
“I am really grateful to have him on my new single, ‘Hard to Face Reality,'" the songsmith told People. "For Justin to be excited for it to come out says a lot about his character. No matter how big he gets he is still grounded, humble, and human. We have an amazing relationship musically and an amazing friendship. Justin is my hero."
Pre-sale for Poo Bear Presents Bearthday Music begins April 6 along with the advance release of "Hard to Face Reality."
