The laws of pop physics state that what goes up must come down -- which means that Psy can expect one heck of a comedown after the massive success of the worldwide novelty hit 'Gangnam Style.' But that doesn't mean he's just sitting around waiting for everyone to get sick of his song.

Actually, he's apparently been hard at work in the studio as one-third of one of the most irresistibly bizarre trios in recent memory: Psy, Philly-bred rapper/producer/DJ Diplo, and 'No Lie' rapper 2 Chainz. Diplo broke the news via Twitter (via Pitchfork), telling followers, "no lie i just finished something with @psy_oppa and @2chainz the mayan calendar predicted this."

No other details have surfaced in Diplo's Twitter feed, which seems to be mostly crowded with pictures of female followers doing handstands with their rear ends to the camera, but you can safely color us intrigued by this news. Will their combined might produce the greatest novelty song of all time? Did the Mayans actually predict this? Will this be the song that obliterates the entire concept of parody and forces 'Weird Al' Yankovic to finally retire? We can't wait to find out.

In the meantime, it sounds like Psy can't embrace his post-'Gangnam' future fast enough, as he quipped during a recent press conference that "There’s a lot of requests for me to dance the horse dance, so I’m honestly getting tired of it. To be honest, I’m getting a bit fed up when I’m asked to teach people the ‘horse dance’. But I’m going to continue with my job." He later took pains to make it clear he was joking, but we think there might have been a little truth in there -- and we know how he feels.
