Sound the alarm, Rihanna Navy! The pop star has confirmed that she'll be releasing a new album this fall.

Fans tweeted at the singer on Thursday, asking about her sixth album, and the 23-year-old verified that she is, in fact, working on her new LP. "Yaaayy I can’t wait to start filling u guys in on some details!!" she added on Twitter.

The upcoming album was rumored to be a re-release of the platinum-selling 'Loud,' but the star wanted to deliver a fresh set of songs to her fans. “LOUD is its own body of work,” she said, adding, “Plus u guys work so F?CKIN hard that u deserve to act brand new!!!"

While Rihanna has her sights set on her new album, the singer is still releasing singles from her 2010 LP. 'Cheers (Drink to That)' hit radio on Sept. 26, and is currently No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song is the seventh release from 'Loud,' following 'Only Girl (In the World),' 'What's My Name?,' 'Raining Men,' 'S&M,' 'California King Bed' and 'Man Down.'

Should her forthcoming album arrive this fall, it will come just in time for the holiday rush, and position the singer for a lengthy tour in 2012. Nothing has been confirmed, but the outlook looks good for RiRi fans.
