Rihanna won for Favorite Soul / R&B Album tonight at the 2011 American Music Awards. She snagged the award for her 2010 album 'Loud,' which features chart-topping singles like 'S&M,' 'What's My Name,' 'Only Girl (in the World),' and 'Cheers (Drink to That).'

Rihanna wasn't able to attend the award show in Los Angeles on Nov. 20 since she's touring over in Europe, but she delivered an acceptance speech via a pre-recorded video. Taio Cruz introduced the video, and Rihanna looked beautiful as she stood saying her "thank yous" in a simple denim shirt and curled updo.

Rihanna was actually up against her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown (for 'F.A.M.E.') in the category, but she managed to beat out him and Beyonce's '4' for the crystal trophy. The songstress addressed all of her viewers as she said, "Hey what's up guys? Thank you so much! This means a lot to me ... I'm on tour in Europe right now … Thank you so much to my fans who show me so much love and support!"

The singer must be on top of the world right now! Her new album 'Talk That Talk' drops tomorrow, Nov. 21, and she already has a No. 1 single off of it with 'We Found Love.' We bet that this American Music Award will be the cherry on top of a great week for RiRi.
