Rihanna got wild at the annual Crop Over Festival in Barbados on Aug. 1, dressing up in a skimpy red bikini, adorned with gold embellishments.

The singer visited her homeland to participate in Kadooment Day, which celebrates the end of the sugar cane harvest. During the traditional Barbadian holiday, crops are offered to the gods for good luck, and as fans can see, everyone has a grand ol' time.

"My home, my country, my people....BARBADOS!!! #1LOVE #SWEETfahDAYS NOTHIN' BETTER! #RihannaNavy Miss u guys tho.,” RiRi tweeted on July 30.

According to Kadooment.com, the festival is a five-week long event, filled with music, art, dancing and more. The Bajan culture is in full effect for the summer period, bursting with exhibitions and parties and ending with the the Grand Kadooment Day climax, which includes a parade and street carnival.

Like Carnival in Brazil, women often wear barely-there costumes along with festive headdresses, similar to the eye-catching ensemble Rihanna put together for the event. As an official ambassador of Barbados, its no wonder why the pop star embraced the celebration with such enthusiasm.

The 23-year-old singer just wrapped the North American leg of her Loud tour, and is scheduled to perform in her native country on Aug. 5 in Bridgetown.
