If 'American Idol' ever wanted to switch out the character of Ryan Seacrest a la your favorite soap opera, they've found their man. Shaun Kraisman of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. even dressed like the long-time host, before spitting off a dozen or so of his catch-phrases.

"This is 'American Idol'," Kraisman said, looking right into the camera. Later it was "Dim the lights" and "To vote for your favorite contestant call ..." The look-alike even mastered the inflection of the popular radio host's name as he introduced himself.

Unfortunately this is a singing competition, not a comedy show. "I would have liked it better if you sang it like Ryan Seacrest," Randy Jackson said after Kraisman finished singing 'Oh Girl' by the Chi-Lites. Kraisman was disappointed, but seemed to at the very least enjoy his 15 minutes of fame. He even offered a few more of Seacrest's catch phrases on his way out the door.

"See you next time on 'American Idol.'" Sadly, that's not the case.
