Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga are both perfume novices, with each of the young ladies releasing their very first fragrances in 2012. Selena Gomez's eponymous perfume comes in a bottle that very much reflects Sel's super sweet persona, while Lady Gaga's Fame fragrance bottle reflects her high-fashion ferocity. Are you more a pink gal like Sel, or would you prefer Gaga's black eau de parfume sitting on your vanity?

As you can see from the bottles and their print ads below, Selena Gomez's perfume and Lady Gaga's have nothing in common except for the fact that both make you smell good. The 'Love You Like a Love Song' singer is quite a girly girl, so we weren't surprised to see a pink and purple theme (with some gold accents) for her Selena Gomez perfume. We love the lips at the top of the cap, and the sleek design is very feminine as well.

According to Fragrantica, the perfume housed inside Sel's super cute bottle smells like mostly like raspeberries, but also has hints of "sweet orange, pineapple and peach." There are also notes of "purple freesia, Cosmone musk, dewberry" finished with tones of "vanilla, amber, chocolate and coconut."

On the contrary, Lady Gaga's Fame bottle is as fierce as Mother Monster herself. Fame has a gold cap that resembles Gaga's signature monster claw, and the round clear base encases the first-ever black perfume (which of course, sprays on clear). It looks like some sort of evil potion out of fantasy movie, and we dig its originality and ultra-cool design. It's definitely different and innovative like the singer.

And according to Fragrantica, the making of Fame is just as complex as its outward design. The perfume has three accords: "dark accord, sensual accord and light accord." The site continues, "The dark accord includes poisonous flower Belladonna and incense, which evolve into the sensual and opulent wave of honey drops, saffron and apricot. A floral veil of Sambac jasmine and tiger orchid embody light and beauty." Although it sounds a bit crazy, we've smelled this one ourselves, and it smells damn good.
