Sesame Street’s ‘Game of Chairs’ Is the Epic ‘Game of Thrones’ Parody You Need [VIDEO]
Sesame Street's audience might be a little young for Game of Thrones, but that didn't stop them from spoofing the HBO show in a segment titled "Game of Chairs."
Those of us who grew up in a pre-GOT era (it's hard to believe such a time ever existed) know Game of Chairs as Musical Chairs. Of course, we never played in such amazing pseudo-medieval costumes, but that's only part of what makes this parody so great.
The video touches on many key Game of Thrones references, including the civil war between the noble houses (which is seen in the Game of Chairs itself), the character Daenerys Targaryen carrying a baby dragon, and Robb Stark asking, "Can we hurry this up? I have a wedding to get to.”
Even though the references are waaaay above the heads of the Sesame Street audience, we love that the show took care to make it fun for older viewers as well. But not to worry, there's plenty to be learned in the video. Not only does the audience learn the game, there's some counting involved!
We haven't been this pumped about a Sesame Street video since Ed Sheeran performed "Two Different Worlds" on the show. In case this isn't enough Game of Thrones-themed awesomeness for your day, you can check out a GOT/ "Blank Space" parody as well.
