When the Nerdist decided to pair George R. R. Martin's willingness to kill off beloved characters on Games of Thrones with Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," we knew we were in for a parody of epic proportions.

If you're at all familiar with the popular series Game of Thrones, you're no stranger to the fact that its creator, George R. R. Martin, has no qualms about killing off pretty much any character at any time. It doesn't matter how beloved said character is -- if they've been written into the series, chances are good they'll be written out without due warning.

The video shows fan favorite, Daenerys Targaryen (played here by Emily Rudd), in a mansion similar to the one in "Blank Space" hanging out with Martin (played by Nick Mundy), as he reminds her that she's up for the chopping block at pretty much any time. They even altered the lyrics to fit the video with Martin singing, "Zombies, axes, giants, blades / So many ways for a gruesome fate / Red weddings, wilding raids / Grab your head and smash your brains to mush / Bones to dust. Decapitation is a must.”

There's also this line, "I get off on killing everyone you love," and these, "Yes it's true / No one's safe / But isn't that / What makes it great / Kill those you love / Save those you hate." They perfectly illustrate the way pretty much everyone watches the show or reads the books -- on edge and terrified the entire time.

We have to admit, considering the original track's self-aware, if not slightly over-the-top, nature, "Blank Space" was the perfect song choice for this parody. Check out the video above and see for yourself!
