Shontelle, ‘Say Hello to Goodbye’ – Song Spotlight

Barbados singer Shontelle is back on the charts with her new single 'Say Hello to Goodbye.' It's the third single from her 2010 album, 'No Gravity,' following the smash hit 'Impossible' and 'Perfect Nightmare.'

Over a swaying, serpentine guitar line and simmering, mid-tempo hand claps, Shontelle matter-of-factly lets her lover know things are definitely over between them. She admits that she'll miss the relationship, and predicts some future tears for herself, but in the moment she seems to be in more of a logical, almost cold-hearted mood about the whole thing:

"Say hello to goodbye, cause its gone forever / No more try, you and I / Not now, not ever / And I'll get by without you / I'm not going back again / I'm not going to lie to you / Cause, that was there and only then."
