Australian rock band Sick Puppies gave fans a preview of what to expect from their upcoming EP 'Polar Opposite' with a four-minute audio clip posted online this week.

Due March 1, the eight-track 'Polar Opposite' will feature acoustic versions of most of Sick Puppies' biggest hits from both of their previous albums and be available exclusively through all digital retailers and WalMart. The band recently tweeted a link to the clip and asked fans for their input.

With the electric guitars removed, many of the songs now center around the voice of Shimon Moore. Moore intensely screams the chorus of 'So What I Lied,' his vocals standing in stark contrast to the single acoustic guitar that backs him up.

Produced by Rock Mafia, 'Polar Opposite' includes the band's four highest-charting songs in America: 'Maybe,' 'Odd One,' 'You're Going Down' and 'All the Same.' In December, 'Maybe' advanced to No. 6 on the Alternative Songs Chart, becoming the group's biggest hit in this country.

The band has lined up a number of U.S. tour dates to support the record, the first eight alongside Nelly and 3OH3!. The tour kicks off with a show in Brookings, S.D. on Tuesday, the same day 'Polar Opposite' hits stores.
