Is a Spice Girls Reunion Actually Happening Now?
"Viva Forever" may be sooner than you think... Maybe.
A Spice Girls reunion is reportedly back in the mix, according to gossip column Page Six, which reports that following a "fallout with Scary [Spice a.k.a. Mel B], partly involving the controlling influence of her husband [Stephen Belafonte]," the iconic girl group is ready to "wind it all around" once more now that Mel B is single—just in time for their 20th anniversary.
While a reunion had previously been planned between Mel B, Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Geri Horner (Ginger Spice), it was cancelled earlier this year so Horner could focus on the birth of her child. However, a source tells Page Six that Belafonte was "always an unnerving presence" for the trio, and that his behavior was another major reason the planned revival fell through.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight warns fans to take the Spice news with a grain of salt.
"There is nothing happening in terms of a concrete reunion plan. The girls definitely want to do something and have good intentions of doing so, but nothing is happening right now," a source allegedly close to Horner told the site.
Hopefully, the rumors will turn into concrete news soon enough. After all: Too much of nothing is just as tough.
