Rapper-singer Jake Miller landed a spot opening for Snoop Dogg, sold out a 43-city tour and led a social-media army called the Millertary, all without a record deal. Born in 1992, the Weston, Fla., native used YouTube to propel him to viral-video fame, winning a national talent competition in 2011. He released two independent EPs, ‘Spotlight’ and ‘The Road Less Traveled,’ which featured the inspirational hit ‘A Million Lives.’ His debut full-length album, ‘Us Against Them,’ reached No. 5 on the Billboard rap chart and caught the attention of both MTV and major label Warner Bros. ‘First Flight Home,’ the lead single off his second studio album, appeared on his 2014 EP, ‘Lion Heart.'
