So much went on during Taylor Swift's Video of the Year MTV Video Music Awards win Monday night (August 26). Not only did she slip out an F-bomb when she was named the winner, but she almost didn't even get her hands on the Moonman!

As Swift hugged her way toward the stage, John Travolta, who presented the Video of the Year category with Queen Latifah, almost handed the silver statue to RuPaul's Drag Race alum Jade Jolie, who also appeared in Swift's "You Need to Calm Down" dressed in drag as... well, Taylor Swift!

The internet had a field day with the fumble.

"Am I the only one who saw John Travolta try to give the award to the wrong Taylor Swift (aka Jade Jolie) #VMAs," one viewer tweeted.

GQ associate editor Brennan Carley tweeted, "John Travolta just gave the VMA to 'Drag Race' alum Jade Jolie in Taylor Swift drag, FULLY not knowing that it was NOT Taylor Swift, thinking that it was IN FACT Taylor Swift. I am....reeling."

See some other hilarious reactions to the moment, below.

Even though it was really hilarious, we can't crack on Travolta too much. Swift and Jolie really do look alike. See their post-VMA win video, below.
