Tina Fey visited the Late Show last night (May 7) for what was evidently the 20th time (!!), and she wanted to do something special for David Letterman's impending departure. Tina looked radiant in her black-and-blue dress (or was it white and gold? Jk, jk), but she stripped down to spandex in tribute to reveal a special, spandex-y surprise.

"I'm never gonna wear a fancy dress on a talk show again," Fey declared after Letterman complimented her outfit. "It's very hard work. I don't know if you're aware of the contraptions," the comedian said as she ran her hands up and down her torso, referring to Spanx and various other constricting undergarments required to present the flawless figure that women in Hollywood are pressured to have. "...It's almost medical."

Tina says she's dressing up this one last time out of respect for Dave, but after that it's all comfort wear and breathable fabrics. "What, am I gonna put a dress on for Jimmy [Fallon]? That's creepy, he's like my brother." After letting the late night legend know she got gussied up just for him, she asks him to help her take the whole darn thing off...and he does, to find that she wore something even better underneath. And with that, #LastDressEver was officially trending. Watch her big reveal in the clip above.

Tina recently expressed the urge to stop trying to conform to unrealistic, ageist standards for celebrity women in a hilarious Inside Amy Schumer sketch — but we'll take the 30 Rock mastermind however we can get her. Letterman’s final Late Show episode airs May 20 on CBS.
