Trey Songz is on 'Top of the World' right now. The R&B loverboy just celebrated his 27th birthday with the release of his new 5-song EP, 'Inevitable,' and recently traveled to Africa for a couple of concert performances. At this point, the self-proclaimed "Prince of Va." is happy with how his career has progressed, so far.

"I’ve done amazing things with my life," he tells Singersroom. "I just turned 27, I just gave all of my earnings from a [benefit] show to a great cause [Angels with Heart Foundation] that I’m going to be able to help children eat on the weekend when they’re not in school. Because of the talent that God gave me, people love me all around the world."

However, with success comes haters and media scrunity. Songz doesn't let outside forces distract him from maintaining a lucrative career, though. "One thing I’ve learned throughout my travels, throughout my career, success and happiness can’t really be judged by what other people think," he says. "You have to find that place for yourself and I’m successful as hell and I’m happy as a m-----f---a."

Unfortunately, Songz admits that he hasn't been successful with finding love. Although he's not looking for a girlfriend, he one day hopes to find true love. "Love is something that could come out of nowhere or love is something that could take forever to find," he explains to Singersroom. "Am I searching to be in love? No, not right at this moment. Would I love that in my life? I think that is a missing part of who I am right now but I don’t think there’s much space for that. So I’m honest with myself and I’m honest with the women in my life."

Trey Songz's 'Inevitable' EP is in stores now.
