The infinitely stylish David Correy auditioned on tonight's (Sept. 26) episode of 'X Factor,' and he was quite the Travie McCoy lookalike, with his beard and tattoos. Before he sang Bruno Mars' 'Just the Way You Are,' he shared his heartwarming reason for coming on the show, which was easily one of the most inspiring tales we've ever heard on a reality singing competition.

His Brazilian mother got pregnant with him when she was just 14 and gave him up for adoption. He hopes that by appearing on the 'X Factor,' his voice will somehow reconnect him with the woman who gave him up. Correy's dream is that she will get to hear his voice by watching the show. We know -- we welled up, too.

He lives in Maryland and loves his adoptive family, but he is curious about his biological mother, and wants to know if she sings. Perhaps he got the gift of music from her. We predict the producers of the show have already installed a digital research team to help locate her so they can reunite, live on 'X Factor,' during sweeps.

As for his singing? He had a lovely, high croon, and of course, he looked the part of the rock star. Plus, he has the backstory that the voters and viewing audience loves and roots for.

Brit Brit loved his stage presence, while L.A. Reid celebrated the fact that his "upper register is powerful" and that "he can really sing."

Correy was awarded a "yes" from every judge, and rightfully so!

We hope his birth mother gets to hear his awesome voice.
