Former X Factor contestant Bea Miller released her debut album Not An Apology in July 2015, but that hasn't stopped her from dropping new music since, typically in the form of cover songs. This time, she released her own version of Zayn Malik's debut solo single “Pillowtalk,” along with the help of producer Cole Plante.

Miller’s cover is a largely faithful one: She never strays too far from the original track, singing the vocal melody exactly as it is on Zayn’s version. But the song does lean more EDM than the original, giving it a slightly different feel. Listen to Miller's cover via Soundcloud below.

Zayn, meanwhile, is gearing up to release his solo debut album Mind of Mine on March 25. He recently unveiled the album art, which drew a significant amount of criticism from fans who noticed an obvious similarity to that of Lil Wayne’s critically acclaimed album Tha Carter III.

The “Pillowtalk” singer fired back on Twitter, ensuring fans he had no intention of being a rapper, writing, “My album is me [as] a child..My ideas have been with me a long time. Use your brain, appreciate art don’t discriminate what you don’t understand.”

Zayn also premiered his second single “It’s You,” during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. The track is reportedly about his relationship with former fiancee Perrie Edwards, who he broke up with a few months after parting ways with One Direction.
