Beyonce's fourth solo album finally has a name: '4.' The singer tells Billboard that online chatter about the record impacted her decision to give it such a simple title.

"Everywhere I look, I see them calling it '4,'" she says. "I had a whole other name and concept, but I keep seeing that the fans love the name '4,' and I think it would be a really nice thing to let them name the record."

Beyonce says the number represents a lot of significant dates in her life, including the day she married Jay-Z:

"We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me. It's the day I was born. My mother's birthday and a lot of my friends' birthdays are on the fourth. April 4 is my wedding date."

'4' will include the lead single, 'Run the World (Girls),' as well as collaborations with Sleigh Bells, The-Dream and more. Like 'Run the World,' the rest of '4' will find Beyonce experimenting and pushing boundaries.

"I feel like my job in the industry is to push the limits, and I have to constantly evolve," she says. "I can never be safe; I always try and go against the grain. As soon as I accomplish one thing, I just set a higher goal. That's how I've gotten to where I am."

The record is still slated for a late summer release.
