Britney Spears Is Leathered Up on ELLE Cover
Britney Spears is leathered up on the October cover of ELLE. Brit's wearing a strapless, studded and stunning black Versace number, looking sexy in a subtle way. Whereas before she would let it all hang out, she's now more subdued and simple, and it's sexalicious!
The hair is, well, a little too soccer mom for our tastes, but then again, Brit Brit is a mother to two young (and super cute) sons, so we'll cut her some slack. It's also better than some of the extensions she's worn, where the seams and weaves showed. So we'll take it.
In the feature, Brit confesses her love of leisurewear and her tomboy nature, which means she isn't quite so interested in fashion at this point. So having mom hair ain't no thang. "I love my jeans and my sweats – I'm really just a tomboy at heart," Brit said. "So it's really hard for me to be like Kim Kardashian and be makeup and hair-ready every time I go out of my house. I'm not a believer in that, you know?"
Despite not being in paparazzi-ready regalia every second of the day, Brit realizes that sometimes, she is ensemble-y challenged, as they say in 'Clueless.' She admitted, "When you do wear those sweats, you're like 'Oh God, I should step it up a notch.'" See, she knows. But comfort is key for her.
Brit and her fiancé Jason Trawick, who was one of her agents, share how they switched gears from a business relationship to a romantic one. He reveals that Brit, 30, made the first move. How 21st century of her!
"It was kind of one of those things where she moved, like, turned around, so we were face-to-face and then ... " said Trawick, 39.
Brit wouldn't let him finish the story, interrupting, "Okay, that's enough information, sweetie. It was sweet, just say that."
Aw, these two are so meant to be!
Brit shared her current feelings on her fame, saying, "I guess I've been under the microscope so long that I don't even pay attention to the nonsense anymore. I gave up getting upset about things people make up about me a long time ago."
That's a great attitude to have, Brit.
