A captain literally going down with his ship? Pffft. A pilot actually buying a farm? Child's play. Today, (January 20), FABLife co-host Chrissy Teigen signaled the talk show's cancellation by nearly sending it up in flames.

Only hours after ABC pulled the plug on the Tyra Banks-created talk show, which premiered in September 2015, proud foodie Teigen demonstrated how not to substitute beeswax for oil to grease a pan. In a cooking-segment clip from the episode above, Teigen, who's been a guest judge on Top Chef and panelist on MTV's Snack-Off, gets her skillet a little too hot. Before she knows it, she and co-host Joe Zee are engulfed in smoke.

"My eyeballs!" she shouts as the crowd laughs.

This morning (January 20), President of Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution Janice Marinelli announced the cancellation of FABLife, which includes the acronym for "fun and beautiful," and thanked everyone involved. "We’re extremely proud of everyone involved with [FABLife] and would like to thank them for all of their contributions and tireless efforts," she said in a statement, according to People.

Banks quit the show in November — only two months into its run — to focus on her TYRA Beauty cosmetics line, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "This is a very difficult decision, but necessary," she said at the time.
