‘Teen Wolf’ Actor Cody Christian Breaks Social Media Silence After Nude Video Leak

Teen Wolf actor Cody Christian reached out to fans on social media on Tuesday (January 31) for the first time since his explicit videos, as well as those of his costar Tyler Posey, were leaked online two weeks ago.

"Love each and every one of you with all of my heart," Christian, who previously played Mike Montgomery on Freeform's Pretty Little Liars, tweeted. "Incredibly grateful for the unwavering support. Enjoy the winter finale tonight!"

Cody's message may have been a bit of MTV-encouraged promo for their series, which is in its sixth and final season and aired the finale for Season 6's front half on Tuesday night (it will return for its final run of episodes this summer). Christian hadn't posted to Twitter or Instagram since January 11, before a video — ostensibly intended for someone else's eyes, in private – made its way onto Twitter, Tumblr and beyond.

Posey was the victim of a concurrent leak and has also gone radio silent on Twitter and Instagram, but he (and his nose ring) did appear at the 2017 People's Choice Awards very shortly after the leaks. And of course, neither actor necessarily needs to issue any response or explanation for the videos, which were not meant for public consumption.

Supporters, friends and the actors' Teen Wolf costars rallied around Christian and Posey following the invasions of privacy, with costar Dylan Sprayberry joking, "Hey guys,
So I'll be posting my nudes sometime tomorrow, that way no one can take credit for it!"

Another even more high-profile victim of leaked nudes, Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, recently saw some justice when the 29-year-old Chicago man who hacked her private photos (along with those of several other female stars including Rihanna and Gabrielle Union) was sentenced to prison and a fine. In a court filing, Edward Majerczyk's lawyer attempted to defend his client's predatory theft by claiming he was "suffering from depression and looked to pornography websites and internet chat rooms in an attempt to fill some of the voids and disappointment he was feeling in his life."
