Now that Coldplay and Rihanna are BFFs, this news should come as no surprise. The Brits have covered RiRi's 'We Found Love' for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge series, giving the song an entirely new treatment.

Proof that the song is live comes when a bell rings a few seconds in, causing singer Chris Martin to laugh as he delivers an early line. The guys build the cover around a breezy piano line and Martin's vocals, which seem rather subdued when compared to Rihanna's. He opts not to unleash his falsetto until the song's final moments, when he freelances over a jangly guitar riff.

The verdict? While we still prefer the original 'We Found Love,' Coldplay's imaginative re-interpretation shows why they're being honored with titles like Best Act in the World Today. It sounds like something that would fit in nicely on 'Mylo Xyloto.' And while 'We Found Love' isn't a very deep song from a lyrical perspective, it now sounds great in two completely different genres. Well done, Calvin Harris!

Rihanna's version of the song, featuring Harris, races up to No. 2 this week, behind only Adele's 'Someone Like You,' while Coldplay are about to hit No. 1 on the album chart.
