Where Is Kamala Harris? Democrats Reportedly Upset Ex-VP Is ‘MIA’ Post Election
Kamala Harris has shied away from the spotlight since her election loss to President Donald Trump.
According to reports, Democratic insiders believe the former VP is currently too off the radar and want her to lead the party heading into the 2026 midterms.
"She’s MIA!" an insider told Page Six, claiming Harris' husband Doug Emhoff has been "telling people she’s the leader of the party, but there is a clear lack of leadership."
"The person you just spent $2 billion on trying to elect? This whole strategy of ‘Do not do anything, or say anything’—that’s not the kind of leadership the world needs right now," the source alleged.

Despite not being a fan of Gavin Newsom, who could potentially launch a 2028 bid for the White House, the insider stated that "at least he’s out there doing stuff."
The governor of California recently launched a new podcast called This Is Gavin Newsom.
"One of her [Harris] problems is that she’s the most risk-averse person on the planet. That’s one of the reasons she lost," the insider told the tabloid.
The source believes Harris' lack of interviews didn't allow voters to get to know her and what she stands for.
"There was nothing to peel the onion back for people," the source added.
According to a recent CNN poll, New York Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reflects Democrats' "core values" more than potential 2028 presidential candidates Harris and Newsom.
