Dylan O’Brien Returns to Social Media for His Enduring Love of the Mets
As any Dylan O'Brien fan knows, the actor has kept a very low profile since he was injured in an accident shooting Maze Runner: the Death Cure in March 2016. He basically fell off the grid, in fact, going off the grid and social media-silent while he healed from his injuries. And though his Maze Runner franchise costar Dexter Darden maintained that Dylan was recovering and was "still dashingly good-looking" back in May, we received little-to-no proof of this assurance until a heavily-bearded Dylan was photographed at a California Jamba Juice in August.
But GOOD NEWS, because Dylan finally broke his online silence this week, blasting a message to his 4.5 million Twitter followers. Are you ready for his message? Here it is:
Whew! Did you finish reading it yet?
Jokes aside, there's no better proof that Dylan's officially back than an abbreviated "Let's Go Mets": His Twitter bio still reads "no longer suffering Mets fan :)," which replaced the previous "suffering Mets fan" some time ago. The New York City team squared off against the San Francisco Giants on October 5 (sadly, O'Brien likely watched them get trounced by the Giants 3-0).
Fortunately, we'll all see so much more Dylan O'Brien in the coming year: In addition to his part in BP oil spill dramatization Deepwater Horizon, which is in theaters now, his character Stiles plays a central role in the sixth and final season of Teen Wolf. He'll also play the title role in American Assassin, based on the Vince Flynn novel of the same name.
We missed you, Dylan! Teen Wolf Season 6 premieres November 15 at 9/8c.
